The Department of Humanities & Sciences, Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology, successfully organized Project Expo 2026 on 2nd May 2026 for First Year B.Tech students with the objective of promoting innovation, creativity, and practical learning among young engineering aspirants.
The expo featured a total of 95 innovative projects presented under four major domains: Environment, Agriculture, Safety & Societal Needs; Innovation & Recent Trends; Robotics, IoT & AI; and Software Development & Engineering Applications. The projects demonstrated the students’ technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, creativity, and awareness of emerging technologies.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. CH Chandrashekhara Reddy, Retired Scientist from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). He visited the project stalls, interacted with the students, and appreciated their innovative ideas, enthusiasm, and technical efforts. In his address, he encouraged students to cultivate a research-oriented mindset and focus on the practical applications of engineering concepts to address real-world challenges.
Faculty members and expert evaluators assessed the projects based on parameters such as innovation, technical content, usefulness, implementation, and presentation skills. During the valedictory session, Best Project Awards were presented to selected teams along with cash prizes and certificates in recognition of their outstanding performance.
Project Expo 2026 provided an excellent platform for first-year students to showcase their talents, strengthen teamwork and communication skills, and gain confidence in technical presentations and project development. The event concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, mentors, and the management.
