National Cadet Corps (NCC)
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit at Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT) was sanctioned in the year 2025, marking an important step toward promoting discipline, leadership, and national service among students. The institute received approval for a full company of 160 Senior Division/Senior Wing (SD/SW) cadets, providing an excellent platform for students to participate in NCC activities and training.
The NCC unit was officially raised on 23 July 2025 by Lieutenant Colonel Tupurani Sarat, Commanding Officer, 3 Telangana Battalion NCC, Hyderabad Group. The establishment of the NCC unit has created opportunities for students to develop qualities such as discipline, leadership, teamwork, patriotism, and a sense of national responsibility.
NCC activities at VJIT are conducted under the guidance of Care Taker Officer (CTO) Mr. R. Muralidhar Reddy, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, whose leadership and dedication play a crucial role in mentoring cadets. The program is further supported by Girl Cadet Administrator (GCA) Dr. P. Ramyasudha.
