Drug Awareness Program Conducted for First-Year Students by H&S Department and NSS Wing

The Department of Humanities & Sciences, in association with the NSS Wing of VJIT, successfully organized a Drug Awareness Program for first-year students on 29th April 2026. The program aimed to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, disciplined, and responsible lifestyle among youth.

The awareness session was conducted by Ms. Srilatha, Circle Inspector (SHO), Chevella Excise Station, Ranga Reddy District, along with Mr. Srinivas, Excise Sub-Inspector, and Mr. Venkateshwarlu, SI, Excise Department. The resource persons delivered insightful sessions highlighting the serious social, physical, and psychological consequences of drug addiction.

During the program, students were encouraged to stay away from harmful substances, make positive life choices, and focus on personal growth and academic success. The speakers also emphasized the importance of self-discipline, mental well-being, and creating a safe and healthy society free from substance abuse.

The session received an enthusiastic response from the students and served as an important initiative in spreading awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and the significance of leading a value-based life.
