Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) – Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) 5.0 & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology is conducted offline session on “Angel Investment/VC Funding Opportunity for Early Stage Entrepreneurs” on 11.08.2023 @ 10.00 AM, E Block, 1st Floor, BS Lab by Dr. Masarat Jahan, Associate Professor, Dept. of MBA, Innovation Ambassador, Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad.
The event had a whooping number of 45 participants of whom 43 were students and 02 Faculty members. Speaker provided a thorough review of venture capital funding and angel investments, which inspired students who were eager to launch their own startups. She claimed that venture capitalists like to invest in early-stage companies with strong growth potential whereas angel investors are ready to take on the risk of a brand-new start-up. She provided in-depth explanations on sources of funding, capital raising, funding for start-up businesses in India, Venture capital investment at the idea phase and VC vs Angel investor.
