The Department of English under the Humanities & Sciences Department successfully organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Enhancing Writing Skills” on 21st February 2026 for the students of Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology. The programme was conducted with the objective of improving students’ written communication, creativity, and overall language proficiency while equipping them with practical strategies to strengthen their academic and professional writing abilities.
The session was delivered by Dr. K. V. Madhavi, Associate Professor, Department of Materials Development Testing and Evaluation, English and Foreign Languages University. She shared valuable insights into the fundamentals of effective writing and highlighted the importance of writing skills in academic excellence, career advancement, and personal development.
During the lecture, students were introduced to the essential elements of good writing, including clarity, coherence, vocabulary enhancement, grammatical accuracy, and the structured presentation of ideas.
