Biography
Dr. P. Nageswara Rao is an accomplished academician and seasoned educational leader with over 30 years of experience in higher education. He holds a Ph.D. in Microwave Communications from NIT Warangal, an M.E. in Applied Electronics from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, and a B.Tech in ECE from Bapatla Engineering College. Dr. Rao has served in various capacities including Principal, Head of Department, and Dean (IQAC), contributing significantly to curriculum development, accreditation processes (NBA Tier-I, NAAC, NIRF), and institutional leadership. He is currently a Professor and Head in the Department of ECE at Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad.
ResearchInterests
Dr. Rao’s research interests include Microstrip Antennas, Electromagnetic Numerical Modeling Techniques, and Reconfigurable Antennas. He has guided three Ph.D. scholars and completed several AICTE-funded research projects. His work is widely published in SCIE, Scopus, and Web of Science indexed journals, particularly focusing on antenna design for wireless, 5G, and wearable applications. His ongoing projects explore fractal and metamaterial-based antenna designs and intelligent antenna switching mechanisms.

Dr. Rao is passionate about teaching a range of subjects in Electronics and Communication Engineering, especially:

- Antenna and Wave Propagation
- Network Theory
- Digital Logic Design
- Linear IC applications
- Microprocessors and Microcontrollers
He promotes Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and encourages innovation and critical thinking among students.
