Anti-Drug Abuse Awareness Program Organized by VJIT NCC & NSS Units in Association with Future City Police Station, Moinabad.
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) Units of Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT), in association with the Future City Police Station, Moinabad, organized an Anti-Drug Abuse Awareness Program on 8th July 2026 to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy, drug-free life.
The program aimed to educate students on drug abuse, illicit trafficking, and the legal, social, and health consequences associated with substance abuse. Police personnel from Future City Police Station, Moinabad, addressed the gathering and delivered an informative session highlighting the dangers of narcotic drugs, the impact of addiction on individuals and society, and the importance of preventing illicit drug trafficking. They urged students to make responsible choices and actively contribute towards building a drug-free society.
As part of the awareness program, NCC cadets presented informative posters conveying powerful messages against drug abuse and illicit trafficking. The posters effectively highlighted the harmful effects of drug addiction and encouraged students to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
The gathering was addressed by Mr. R. Muralidhar Reddy, Care Taker Officer (CTO), NCC, VJIT, who emphasized the importance of discipline, self-control, and social responsibility. He encouraged the cadets to act as ambassadors of the anti-drug movement by spreading awareness among their peers and communities.
Mrs. J. Sreedevi, NSS Coordinator, VJIT, also addressed the gathering and stressed the role of youth in creating a healthy and responsible society through active participation in social awareness campaigns.
The event was graced by the presence of Dr. P. Ramya Sudha, Girl Cadet Administrator (GCA), NCC, VJIT, whose presence motivated and encouraged the cadets and students.
A key highlight of the program was the Anti-Drug Pledge administered by the police personnel from Future City Police Station, Moinabad. All NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, and students solemnly pledged to stay away from drugs, discourage substance abuse, promote a healthy lifestyle, and actively support efforts to eliminate drug abuse and illicit trafficking from society.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective commitment by all participants to uphold the message “Say No to Drugs – Choose Life.” The awareness program was highly informative and successful in promoting social responsibility, reinforcing the values of healthy living, and inspiring students to become responsible citizens dedicated to building a drug-free India.
