The Civil Engineering Department of Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT) organized a webinar on “Seismic Retrofit Schemes for RC Structures and Local–Global Consequences” By Dr. Ajay Chourasia, Sr. Principal Scientist & Prof. (AcSIR) Group Leader, 3D Concrete Printing CSIR-Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee, on 29th October 2021.
The Webinar is a IAStruct E-South Joint Lecture Series supported by IIIT, Hyderabad. The event started with a welcome address by Dr.Pallavi Badry, Prof. & Head of the Dept, CE. The event was addressed by Prof. R.Pradeep Kumar who briefed on the journey of IAStruct E. Dr. E. Sai Baba Reddy, Institute Director and Dr. A. Padmaja , Institute Principal congratulated the department for their active involvement in such knowledge sharing events. Shri Manoj Mittal, Chief Guest of the event shared his remarks and contribution of IASruct E for solving societal problems.
The technical session of the event was addressed by Dr. Ajay Chourasia, a technical speaker, who shared technical aspects on retrofitting techniques by discussing several case studies during the session. The entire event was very successfully hosted by Mrs. Y. Suneetha and she also expressed a thank you note to all the participants.
