A Journey to Remember!

Hi! Let me share an experience—actually, it’s not just a story, but a real lesson about life.

My friends and I were traveling to Pune by train. You know how Indian trains are—sometimes crowded, sometimes slow, and often a mix of chaos and fun. After a while, I started feeling bored. When the train stopped at a station, my friend and I decided to get down to buy some snacks and water.

We got what we needed, but I told her, “Let’s wait for five more minutes. I’m getting bored inside the train.” She agreed, and we stood near the platform, chatting. Just then, two men approached us and started talking about some train issues. We didn’t think much about it and got engaged in the conversation.

And then—it happened.

The train started moving.

At first, I didn’t realize what was going on. It felt like a movie scene. But when my friend panicked and pinched me, it hit me—we missed the train!

We were in shock. Our friends were still on the train, asleep, unaware that we weren’t there. Luckily, my friend had her phone with her. We quickly called them and told them we’d catch the train at a station three stops ahead, as the train wouldn’t stop at the next two.

Now, the real challenge began.

We needed a taxi, but it was late at night, and we were in an unfamiliar place. Being two girls alone, we felt nervous but didn’t show it. We asked a few drivers, but no one was ready to take us. Instead they behaved badly with us, here again how can I forget there is no safety for women, it is India. That’s when we noticed an elderly couple running a small tiffin center at the station.

Hoping for help, we approached them and explained our situation. The old man immediately stepped forward to find us a taxi. At first, no driver agreed, but he convinced one to take us. Meanwhile, his wife offered us food, insisting we eat before leaving. We were strangers, yet they treated us like family.

We thanked them from the bottom of our hearts and took their contact details before leaving. Another kind man, who helped arrange the taxi, stayed with us at the station until we boarded the train safely.

That night, I learned an important lesson. The world is full of challenges, but there are good people who make it a better place. In moments of trouble, kindness can come from the most unexpected people.
