VJIT PAYS TRIBUTES TO Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam
A condolence meeting to pay respects and tributes to the former President of India Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam was organized on 01.08.2015. The meeting was attended by the faculty, students and staff of VJIT.
Dr. P Venugopal Reddy – Director, Dr. A. Padmaja – Principal and Heads of the Departments paid floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. Kalam.
A two minute silence was observed by the gathering as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
Two student representatives Mr. Goutham of III EEE and Ms. Radhika Rao of II CSE spoke eloquently on Dr.Kalam and recalled his contribution to the nation as a Scientist and during his time as the President of India.
Dr. Krishna Rao – HOD ECE spoke on his association with Dr.Kalam while he was working in RCI.
Dr. Padmaja and Dr. Venugopal Reddy recalled the contribution of Dr. Kalam to the nation particularly in guiding the youth f this country.
Mr. M.S. Goutham, Dept. of Mech. Engg. coordinated the meeting.
