EVENT SUMMARY :
Menstrual Health and Hygiene is essential for the well-being and empowerment of women and adolescent girls. More than 300 million women worldwide menstruate everyday but there are a lot of women and girls who lack access to menstrual products and adequate facilities for
managing menstrual hygiene. Our society stigmatizes ‘period-talks’ leaving the young
adolescent girls with very little awareness on periods.
On that matter, we the team of SC VJIT took up the task of educating the young girl students about menstrual health. We had an interactive session with the girls and clarified all their questions on menstruation.
