The Department of Management Studies, VJIT, successfully conducted the MBA Orientation Day on 15th October 2025 to warmly welcome the new batch of students. The event marked the official beginning of their academic journey and provided an overview of the department’s vision, learning environment, and the opportunities that lie ahead.
Inaugural Session
The programme commenced at 10:30 AM with a cordial welcome to all guests and dignitaries.
The Chief Guest, Dr. D. Venkata Srinivas Kumar, Associate Professor, University of Hyderabad, delivered an insightful and inspiring address. He emphasized the increasing significance of Artificial Intelligence in the business world and encouraged students to enhance their analytical and digital competencies to stay future-ready.
Address by Academic Leaders
- Dr. P. Chakradhar, Head of the Department, outlined the department’s vision, academic framework, and commitment to holistic student development.
- Mr. R. Venkata Chalam, Director of Placements, highlighted the importance of industry readiness, employability skills, and the need for students to stay proactive in their career planning.
- Dr. A. Padmaja, Dean, discussed the institution’s achievements and the essential role of active student participation in academic and extracurricular activities.
- Mrs. G. Srilatha, Director of Academics, explained the curriculum structure and emphasized the value of continuous learning in a dynamic business environment.
- Dr. A. Srujana, Principal, motivated the students to cultivate leadership qualities, maintain strong values, and strive for excellence throughout their MBA journey.
Interactive Sessions
Following the formal inauguration, a High Tea was arranged, providing an opportunity for faculty and students to interact in an informal setting.
Later, the ISKCON team, led by Sri Sahadeva Sakha Dasa, conducted an engaging session on the theme “Focus.” The session highlighted the importance of concentration, effective time management, and value-based decision-making—key traits for future business leaders.
Alumni Interaction
The day concluded with an inspiring interaction by alumnus Mr. Bala Rama Chowdary, who shared insights from his professional journey. He urged students to stay committed, make strategic choices, and aim high in their careers.
Conclusion
The MBA Orientation Day ended on an enthusiastic and encouraging note, instilling confidence among the new students as they embark on their academic and professional path at VJIT.
