VJIT NSS Cell has organized a competition on ‘Creative Designing’ designing a Poster on the theme, how Women have been empowered through engineering education. The competition was held for both boys and girls. The objective was to encourage even boys to think how educated women can empower not just themselves but their families and the nation too.
Women Empowerment Cell, Women in Engineering Cell, VJIT NSS and Yukthi have organized the International Women’s Day celebrations at VJIT, where all the young girls and ladies had great fun and frolic. The event showcased the talents of girls in their performances and the faculty too enjoyed participating in the various games organized by the organizing teams. The Chief Guest Smt. Sumathi, DIGP, Women’s Safety Wing was welcomed by the NSS Team Ms. Sonika Chawla and Ms. Keerthika, parading her to the Venue and giving her the Salute of Honour. As every year three non-teaching staff members were felicitated for their valuable services rendered to the institute. This year Mrs. Bhavani, Programmer, CSE Dept., Mrs. M. Sridevi, Record Asst, Admin Dept., and Mrs. D. Kamalamma, Housekeeping Dept. were felicitated.
