Biography
A passionate English professor holding a Ph.D. in English with a specialization in writing skills. She is recognized for exceptional communication abilities and a relentless desire to keep learning. With over 36 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership, she has significantly contributed to the field of English Language Teaching. Her strengths are discovering innovative methods to teach English effectively. She is the HoD & BoS Chairman of Department of English at VJIT. She has always been motivating faculty in research activities and publishing quality journal papers. As HoD, she has led several key initiatives, including curriculum revision, accreditation processes, and faculty development programs. She has organized FDP’s, workshops, and Guest Lectures, fostering a vibrant academic culture within the department.
Dr. Priyadarshini serves as a member of the Board of Studies for seven colleges and is also part of the Examination Panel for eight colleges in Hyderabad.

Dr. Priyadarshini’s key area of research focuses on exploring and developing innovative methods of teaching English. She is deeply committed to finding creative, effective approaches that enhance student engagement, comprehension, and communication skills. By integrating modern pedagogical strategies and continuously experimenting with new techniques, She aims to make English learning more accessible, dynamic, and impactful for diverse groups of learners. Her research is driven by the belief that effective teaching evolves with time, and she strives to contribute meaningful advancements to the field of English education. Education
Dr. D. Indira Priyadarshini is a distinguished academician with an extensive background in both academics and research. She completed her B.A in Humanities from Govt. Degree college for Women, Hyderabad. Continuing her academic journey, she pursued her M.A in English Literature from Arts College, Osmania University, pursued her M.Phil from Alagappa university and later earned her Ph.D. in ELT from Dravidian University in 2016.
Dr. Priyadarshini accomplished many certification courses on wide range of topics from Coursera, Udemy, Future Learn and Cambridge University to keep abreast global teaching methods in English.
