Biography
Dr. M. Anand Pandarinath is a committed experiential educationalist with a strong focus on practical pedagogy in physics education. With over 22 years of academic experience and 3 years in industry, he brings a balanced and application-driven approach to teaching and research. He is currently a recognized Research Supervisor at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. Dr. Anand has made significant contributions to the development of postgraduate and undergraduate laboratories in areas such as Internetworking, Heat & Optics, Nuclear Physics, Spectroscopy, and both Analog and Digital Electronics.
He is also the faculty advisor for the International Student Chapter of SPIE, where he actively mentors first-year students, encouraging them to engage in scientific research and international publication. His dedication to nurturing young talent has resulted in several students gaining international research exposure.
ResearchInterests
Dr. Anand’s primary research interests lie in Material Sciences, particularly focusing on FTIR, Raman, Optical Absorption and EPR Spectroscopy, along with optical, thermal, and electrical studies of glass materials. He is the Co-Investigator of a government-funded DST-TDP research project, which was sanctioned in 2024 with a grant of ₹40 lakhs.
TeachingInterests
He is deeply passionate about teaching Physics and its allied disciplines, with a strong emphasis on practical applications for solving real-world engineering problems. His teaching repertoire includes subjects like Applied Physics, Engineering Physics, Digital Circuit Design, Data and Computer Communication, Quantum Mechanics, Electronics, Solid State Physics, Optics, and Nuclear Physics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Dr. Anand has published over 10 research articles in esteemed international journals, with impact factors reaching up to 4.8. One of his most cited research papers has received more than 120 citations. He has also presented his research at over 10 national and international conferences.

Education
He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Science, and earned his Ph.D. in Material Science from Osmania University. He also holds certifications that complement his academic and research pursuits.
