Overview
- Each department in the College has well known their own Professional Bodies and Student Chapters like IEEE, ISTE, ACM, CSI, IETE, SPIE Etc…
- The ISTE has conducted its 42nd National convention at Anurag Group during December 2012.
- Under these Professional Bodies all the departments organizes events like Student workshops, Seminars and Guest Lectures.
- Students are regularly sent to attend National and International conference through these Professional Bodies.
- The presence of Professional Bodies in the College is crucial to Engineering Education
ProfessionalBodies
IETE
Founded in 1953, IETE is a leading professional society advancing telecommunications, electronics, and IT in India. It fosters collaboration among academicians, scientists, and professionals, supports technical events, and offers career development and education opportunities.
IEEE
Founded on October 24, 2014, the IEEE Student Forum (ISF) at VJIT began with 35 students and 5 faculty members. It focuses on enhancing technical skills, fostering innovation, and inspiring students to use technology for the benefit of humanity.
ISTE
The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) works to improve technical education standards in India. VJIT, a proud member, established its ISTE student chapter in 2005, with 360 student members, to enhance overall student personality in alignment with the nation’s education system.
CSI
Founded on March 6, 1965, the Computer Society of India (CSI) is the first and largest organization for computer professionals in India, representing the country’s computer community on a national level.
ACM
Founded in 1947, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is the world’s largest scientific and educational computing society. ACM publishes over 50 journals and fosters growth through its 180+ professional and 680+ student chapters worldwide, offering members valuable resources and networking opportunities.
OSA
The OSA Student Chapter at VJIT, Hyderabad, was officially approved on November 26, 2012, to promote optics and photonics, offering members grants, guest lectures, and networking opportunities.
SPIE
The SPIE Student Chapter at VJIT, Hyderabad, established on October 18, 2012, actively promotes optics and photonics through various programs under the Department of Physics, with 50 student members.
