Overview
The Department has Exclusive R&D cell for providing various opportunities to enhance innovative skills of Faculty and students. To improve the activities and increase the productivity in terms of projects, publications and also quality of training.
Objectives
- To promote and accelerate quality research in the department and collaborate with industry and R&D organizations
- To promote Innovation and consultancy activities through development of Research with Centers of Excellence
- To integrate Teaching and Research
- To organize various workshops/ seminars on recent trends in Multidisciplinary areas
- Organize National/International Conferences for providing platform to share knowledge in the recent trends

Responsibilities of Research Committee
- Monitoring and facilitating quality research in the department, to issue appropriate guidelines to B.Tech/M.Tech projects for maintaining quality research and for choosing application oriented projects.
- Promote Research Culture and opportunities’ in the Department
- Develop and maintain a Departmental research publication strategy
- Encouraging faculty to apply for external /In-house funding
- Promote the development of national and international links and collaborations with academic institutes and industries.
- Facilitating lectures by renowned people on latest topics
- Facilitating industrial collaboration and visits

- Dr. D.ArunaKumari, HOD CSE, Professor, Dr.A.Obulesh,Professor, Dr.K.Ramesh Babu,Assoc. Professor, Dr.KSRKSarma, Assoc.Professor, Dr.Y.Praveen Kumar, Assistant Professor, had received grant of 1,18,61,430 Rs from DST SEED for the research project entitled Design and Development of Internet of Things based Grain Storage and Grain Monitoring System for Social and Economic Empowerment of Scheduled Caste Communities in Moinabad Mandal.
- Mrs. B Sailaja and M.Lokesh received a grant of 3 lakhs from IIT, Hyderabad for the research project entitled “Smart footwear for detection of land mine, TiHan”
- Dr Ramesh Babu, Professor project proposal “Design and Development of Routing Protocols for Cognitive Wireless Sensor Networks Using Neural Networks” selected under collaborative research scheme TEQIP-III at JNTUH, with a Research Grant of Rs: 2,75,000.
- Dr. Siddhartha Ghosh & Dr. Aruna Kumari, Professors had received Two years RCI DRDO founded project Mobile hardening using software and hardware on 2017-19, 10 Lakhs
- Dr B. Vijaya Kumar, Professor had sanctioned DST Project INSPIRE internship Science Camp of 10 Lac in 2017.
- Dr D. Aruna Kumari, Professor had sanctioned 1 Lakh from DST-SERB to organize the National Level Conference on RTBACC in 2017.
- Dr D. Aruna Kumari, Professor had received grant of 3578000 from DST-SERB for the research project entitled Design and Development of an effective privacy preserving data mining techniques for cardiac, cancer & diabetic healthcare under FSER.
