Teachers’ Day Celebrations @ VJIT
Teachers’ Day was celebrated by the Management on 5th September, 2013 to acknowledge the contribution of Teachers to the Institution and to the society at large.
Programme started at 2 p.m. in the afternoon. All teachers were dressed up in a special manner for the occasion.
Floral tributes were paid to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Dr. P. Venugopal Reddy, Director, VJIT, Dr. A. Padmaja, Principal, Mr. R. V. Chalam, Senior Administrative officer spoke on the role of teachers in moulding the life of future citizens of tomorrow. They appreciated the efforts put in by teachers at Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology. They also expressed the need for the teachers to imbibe the good qualities of great teachers like Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and other role models and work towards imparting value-oriented holistic Education to students.
Two senior faculty members who have been associated with VJIT for more than a decade – Prof. S. M. Zafarullah, Head of the Department, EEE and Prof. G. Sreeram Reddy, Head of the Department, Mechanical were felicitated by the director and principal on behalf of the Institution. They felt elated and promised to work with renewed enthusiasm for the cause of engineering better engineers.
There was a festive mood all around with both teaching and non teaching staff sharing lighter moments and enjoying the programme.
