Event Title: Ad Making

The Marketing Club (MERCADO) of VJIT conducted a creative and engaging activity titled “Ad Making” on 1st May 2025. The event aimed to provide students with practical exposure to the advertising process—right from product selection and branding to tagline creation and digital ad presentation.
Activity Overview
- A total of 30 students participated and were divided into 6 groups (5 members in each group).
- Each group selected a unique product category and created an advertisement for it.
- The product categories included:
- Bags – Brand: Gucci
- Chocolates – Brand: Dairy Milk
- Fruit Juice – Brand: Slice
- Virtual Reality – Product-based concept
- Biscuits – Brand: Fab Biscuits
- Shampoo – Brand: Tresemmé
- Students were required to create brand logos, taglines, and CGI-based advertisements.
- After a 30-minute preparation window, each group presented their advertisements and explained their product marketing strategy to the audience.
Learning Outcomes
- Advertising Fundamentals: Students gained hands-on experience in framing catchy taglines, designing logos, and understanding the psychology behind consumer attraction.
- Creative Marketing Skills: Participants learned how to ideate and present compelling advertisements using both traditional and digital techniques.
- Teamwork and Communication: The group-based format helped improve collaboration, presentation, and persuasive communication skills.
Conclusion
The Ad Making activity by the Marketing Club (MERCADO) was a successful initiative that combined creativity, strategy, and marketing fundamentals in a fun and interactive way. It provided students with valuable exposure to the world of branding and advertising, reinforcing classroom concepts through practical application.
