Dr. M. Mohan Rao, Senior Engineer, BHEL (R&D), Hyderabad. has given an expert lecture on “Gas Insulated Substations”. it is a very useful and interesting topic for EEE students having wide applications. In Hyderabad Six EHT substations are under construction and completion with Gas insulation features. The Gas insulation substations are commissioned mostly in urban areas where large areas of land availability is very difficult and costly for constructing conventional AIR Insulated substations.
