The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with the VJIT Research & Development (IPR) Cell, successfully organized a one-day workshop on “Demystifying Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) with Focus on Patents and Designs” on 17th July 2026 at Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology.
The session was delivered by Mr. Subhajit Saha, Head – Legal & IPR, Resolute Group and Founder of Resolve4IP, who shared valuable insights into the significance of Intellectual Property Rights in fostering innovation and safeguarding creative ideas.

The engaging session empowered students and faculty members with practical knowledge of protecting innovations, transforming research into intellectual assets, and understanding the legal framework surrounding patents and designs. The workshop inspired participants to incorporate IPR awareness into their academic projects, research activities, and entrepreneurial endeavors.
A total of 58 participants actively attended the workshop, making it an informative and enriching learning experience that reinforced VJIT’s commitment to promoting innovation, research excellence, and intellectual property awareness.
