The Department of Management Studies, Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM), organized an industrial visit to Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. (HCCB), Ameenpur, Hyderabad, for the MBA First Year students. The visit was conducted in two phases: Section B on 11 June 2026 and Section A on 16 June 2026. A total of 49 students from Section B and 43 students from Section A actively participated in this experiential learning program.
The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to modern manufacturing practices, production management, supply chain operations, logistics, and marketing strategies followed by one of India’s leading beverage manufacturing companies. The visit served as an excellent platform for students to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world industrial practices.
During the visit, the students received a comprehensive overview of the company’s operations and its significant role in manufacturing and distributing Coca-Cola beverages across various markets. The session was led by Mr. V. Surya Narayana Raju, Plant Coordinator, who explained the complete beverage manufacturing process in detail. Students observed each stage of production, including water purification, syrup preparation, bottle cleaning, filling, capping, labelling, packaging, and rigorous quality testing procedures. They also witnessed the advanced automation systems and state-of-the-art technologies employed to ensure operational efficiency, product consistency, and adherence to stringent quality standards.
The industrial visit further provided valuable insights into the company’s supply chain and distribution network. Students learned about inventory management practices, warehousing operations, logistics planning, and the systematic distribution of finished products to retailers, supermarkets, and other sales channels. The interaction highlighted the importance of efficient supply chain management in ensuring timely product availability and meeting dynamic market demands.
In addition to production and logistics, students gained an understanding of the sales and marketing strategies adopted by Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. to strengthen its market presence and enhance customer satisfaction. The officials explained how production, distribution, and marketing functions are effectively integrated to achieve organizational objectives and maintain competitiveness in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
The visit proved to be highly informative and enriching, enabling students to correlate classroom learning in Production and Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Marketing Management with practical industrial applications. Students actively interacted with the Plant Coordinator and company officials, seeking clarifications and gaining valuable insights into contemporary industrial management practices.
The industrial visit conducted on 11 June 2026 was coordinated by Dr. Madhavi Bolla, Mr. K. Jeevan Kumar, Mrs. K. Sunitha, and Mrs. N. Naga Lakshmi. The visit held on 16 June 2026 was coordinated by Dr. Masarat Jahan, Mr. K. Jeevan Kumar, and Mrs. T. Rajani, ensuring the smooth and successful execution of the program.
