VJIT proudly launched its NCC unit with 160 SD/SW cadets, strengthening the spirit of leadership, service, and national responsibility.

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit at Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT) was sanctioned in the year 2025, marking an important step toward promoting discipline, leadership, and national service among students. The institute received approval for a full company consisting of 160 Senior Division/Senior Wing (SD/SW) cadets, providing an excellent platform for students to participate in NCC activities and training.

The unit was officially raised on 23 July 2025 by Lieutenant Colonel Tupurani Sarat, Commanding Officer of the 3 Telangana Battalion NCC, Hyderabad Group. The establishment of the NCC unit brought new opportunities for students to develop qualities such as discipline, leadership, teamwork, and a sense of national responsibility.

The event was graced by the presence of the Principal, Dean Rankings, Senior Administrative Officer, Director Academics, faculty members, NCC Care Taker Officer (CTO), and enthusiastic students, making the occasion a memorable milestone for the institution. Their presence reflected the strong institutional support for the NCC initiative and encouraged students to actively participate in NCC activities

The Chief Guest, Lt. Colonel Tupurani Sarat, addressed the gathering and highlighted the core values and benefits of the NCC. He emphasized how the organization nurtures discipline, leadership, and a spirit of patriotism among the youth of India. He also explained the various opportunities available for NCC cadets in the armed forces, particularly highlighting the Technical Entry Scheme for engineering graduate NCC cadets, which offers promising career pathways for students aspiring to serve the nation.

The NCC activities at VJIT are carried out under the guidance of Care Taker Officer (CTO) R. Muralidhar Reddy, whose leadership and dedication play a crucial role in mentoring the cadets. The program is further supported by Girl Cadet Administrator (GCA) Dr P. Ramyasudha,
