The Department of Civil Engineering, VJIT, in collaboration with UltraTech Engineers, organized a hands-on training session on waterproofing for IV-year students at the Center of Excellence on 21st August 2025. The session was delivered by Er. Shiva Priya and focused on providing practical knowledge along with industry exposure. Importance of waterproofing and common causes of water damage and given introduction to coatings, membranes, and admixtures, Students practiced applying waterproofing materials under expert guidance. The training proved to be a valuable learning experience, successfully bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry practice, while preparing students for real-world applications in construction engineering.
