On 11th October 2025, the SPIE-VJIT Student Chapter, under the Department of Humanities & Sciences, successfully organized an impactful Educational Outreach Program at Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS), Yenkapally.

The initiative aimed to spark scientific curiosity among school students by introducing them to the exciting world of optics. A series of interactive demonstrations were conducted, covering both fundamental and advanced concepts such as:

  • Basics of reflection and refraction
  • Total Internal Reflection (TIR) and its real-world applications
  • Laser security system demonstration
  • Wireless electricity experiment showcasing future-forward technology

Students actively participated in hands-on, learning-by-doing activities, which helped simplify complex scientific ideas and deepen their understanding. Their enthusiasm throughout the session reflected the strong impact of the demonstrations.

The faculty of ZPHS appreciated the efforts of the SPIE-VJIT student team and expressed interest in future collaborations to enhance scientific learning among their students.

This outreach activity stands as a testament to the department’s commitment to promoting scientific awareness and nurturing young minds beyond the boundaries of the campus.
