Inauguration Ceremony (17th July 2025)
The IT Training Program on Artificial Intelligence was formally inaugurated at VJIT with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.
Distinguished Guests Present:

- Mr. B. Dinesh, Project Coordinator – ICT Academy, Telangana
- Mr. Mallikarjun Appani, Consultant Dataplat, Microsoft Global Services Pvt. Ltd.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome address by Dr. D. Aruna Kumari, HoD – CSE, followed by an inspiring message from Dr. A. Srujana, Principal, VJIT. The keynote addresses by the guests emphasized the growing importance of AI in industry and employability. The program inauguration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Program SPOC, Dr. Ramesh Cheripelli.
Training Program & Hands-on Sessions (17th July – 5th August 2025)
The training program spanned across three weeks, offering 100 hours of structured learning:
- 80 hours – Core AI Skills
- 20 hours – Soft Skills (as part of the Finishing School for Employability initiative by Infosys Foundation CSR)
The sessions combined theoretical learning with practical applications, enabling students to:
- Gain hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence tools and frameworks.
- Work on real-world problem-solving approaches.
- Enhance communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.
The program was highly interactive, with enthusiastic participation from students who actively engaged in discussions, coding exercises, and project-based learning.
Outcomes
The IT Training Program successfully achieved its objectives by enabling students to:
- Acquire in-depth knowledge and practical skills in Artificial Intelligence.
- Interact with industry experts and gain exposure to current industry trends.
- Apply AI techniques to real-world challenges through hands-on learning.
- Strengthen soft skills essential for professional growth.
- Improve employability with industry-relevant and structured training.
Conclusion
The IT Training Program on Artificial Intelligence, jointly organized by the Department of CSE, VJIT, in collaboration with ICT Academy and Infosys Foundation CSR, was a resounding success.
With over 100 hours of blended training, the initiative significantly contributed to enhancing both technical competencies and soft skills, thereby bridging the gap between academia and industry.
This program reflects VJIT’s commitment to fostering innovation, skill development, and industry readiness, preparing students to become a future-ready workforce in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
