Organized by the Women Empowerment Cell, VJIT
Date: April 16, 2016
Venue: VJIT Campus

On April 16, 2016, the Women Empowerment Cell of VJIT hosted a vibrant and empowering event titled “Choose to Challenge – Girl Power”. The initiative was filled with interactive training sessions, skill-building competitions, and fun-filled activities, all designed to uplift and inspire the young women of the campus.

The primary goal of the event was to foster leadership, self-confidence, and public speaking abilities among girl students, while also encouraging economic awareness—emphasizing the value of financial literacy, saving for the future, and entrepreneurial investment. Through these dynamic engagements, participants were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, discover their potential, and lead with purpose.

A highlight of the day was the Rally in Support of Women Farmers, where students came together in solidarity with female agricultural workers, recognizing their invaluable role in our economy and advocating for their empowerment. The rally underscored the importance of unity, voice, and action in supporting women across all sectors of society.

The event beautifully reflected the spirit of the global movement #ChooseToChallenge—encouraging every participant to question gender bias, stand up for equality, and celebrate the strength and achievements of women everywhere.

With overwhelming participation and enthusiastic responses, the event reaffirmed VJIT’s commitment to creating confident, informed, and socially conscious women leaders.
