Venue: A Block, VJIT Campus
Women are the cornerstone of every society—competent, versatile, dynamic at work, and compassionate at home. While they hold everything together, they are often stretched thin, balancing numerous responsibilities. Recognizing this, the Women Empowerment Cell of Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology organized a special Yoga Training Session for first-year girl students on International Yoga Day, June 21, 2019.
The session was conducted with the aim of promoting physical well-being, mental clarity, and emotional balance among young women entering a new phase of academic and personal life. In today’s fast-paced world, where women are expected to multitask and perform under pressure, Yoga provides the inner strength and stability needed to thrive.
The theme behind the session was simple but powerful:
“While women take care of everyone else, Yoga is how they take care of themselves.”
The girls were introduced to basic yoga postures, breathing exercises, and mindfulness techniques, tailored for beginners. The session was well-received, with many participants expressing that it helped them feel relaxed, focused, and more in tune with their inner selves.
By integrating holistic practices like Yoga into student life, the Women Empowerment Cell continues to encourage VJITian women to embrace a balanced, healthy, and empowered lifestyle.
