In an effort to equip young women with practical knowledge and confidence, the Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) of Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology conducted an impactful Women’s Safety Awareness Program on November 12, 2017. Sponsored by Dream Valley Resorts, Moinabad, the session was guided by experienced safety and rescue trainers from the Police Department.

This unique, hands-on initiative was designed around the belief that “prevention is better than cure”, and aimed to empower girls and women to protect themselves in threatening situations. The trainers provided practical safety techniques, self-defense tips, and awareness strategies that can help women stay alert, anticipate danger, and respond effectively.

The core message of the session was simple yet powerful:
“Motivate yourself to WIN—before the fight even begins.”

The program emphasized mental preparedness, situational awareness, and staying calm under pressure—enabling participants to be one step ahead of potential attackers. Attendees learned how to recognize red flags, avoid risky environments, and use simple tools and techniques to ensure personal safety.

With active participation from girl students and faculty, the event was not just informative but truly empowering. The positive feedback from attendees highlighted a shared sense of confidence and awareness that extended well beyond the classroom.

By organizing such proactive initiatives, the Women Empowerment Cell continues its mission to foster safety, strength, and self-assurance among women at VJIT.
