The VJIT Women Empowerment Cell, in collaboration with SHECODERS, launched an enriching technical initiative titled “CODE-C-FIESTA”—a one-month intensive training program focused on C Programming, aimed at equipping women students with essential programming skills. The training program commenced on 10th September 2020 and marked a significant step in the journey toward promoting women in technology.
Designed specifically for girl students at VJIT, CODE-C-FIESTA was developed with the vision to Enrich, Empower, and Exalt women in coding and technical domains. With the growing demand for core programming skills in the job market, the program aimed to strengthen the technical foundation of participants and enhance their confidence in solving real-world problems through code.
The month-long training provided a comprehensive introduction to the C Programming language, covering key concepts such as syntax, data structures, control structures, functions, and memory management. The program included hands-on sessions, coding exercises, and regular assessments to ensure an interactive and outcome-driven learning experience.
CODE-C-FIESTA was not just a training program—it was a movement to encourage more women to pursue careers in technology, to build a strong peer community, and to create an inclusive environment where technical excellence is celebrated and nurtured.
The initiative reflects the Women Empowerment Cell’s continued commitment to supporting the personal and professional growth of women students, and its dedication to preparing them for dynamic careers in engineering and technology.
