The Department of Civil Engineering and the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Construction Practices & Materials, in association with UltraTech and the ICI Student Chapter, VJIT, organized Concrete Day Celebrations on 5th September 2024. As part of the event, a technical talk on “Very Amazing Concrete” was delivered by Er. B.V.R.K. Swamy, Regional Specialty Concrete Manager, UltraTech Cement, Hyderabad, at the C-Block Seminar Hall.
The session explored innovative solutions for concrete in various societal conditions and introduced students to the latest advancements in concrete materials by UltraTech. Er. Swamy shared valuable insights on how cutting-edge concrete technology is enhancing performance, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal in modern construction.
The talk was highly informative and engaging, sparking thought-provoking discussions and encouraging students to explore new possibilities in concrete technology. The Department of Civil Engineering expressed gratitude to UltraTech for their valuable contribution in broadening students’ knowledge and industry exposure.
