Lingua Blaze – The Language Fair 2025

The Department of English at VJIT successfully conducted Lingua Blaze – The Language Fair for I B.Tech II SEM students from all 19 sections on February 20, 2025, at E Block Ground Floor. This initiative aimed to enhance students’ communication and creative thinking skills through interactive exhibits and presentations.

Pre-Event Preparations

Ahead of the event, a briefing session was conducted by the Head of the Department of English for all Class Representatives on February 10, 2025. Each section was randomly allotted a topic, and students formed teams, submitting their details by February 12, 2025. Faculty facilitators were assigned to each section to guide and mentor students.

Inauguration and Participation

The event was inaugurated by Dr. K. Venu Madhavi Reddy, Associate Professor, EFLU, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Udaya Mutyala, Associate Professor, EFLU, as the Guest of Honour. With around 110 participating students and the enthusiastic involvement of English faculty, the fair was a grand success.

Students showcased their creativity through exhibits, engaging presentations, and demonstrations. The event attracted significant attention from first-year students, faculty members, and department heads. Additionally, students from ZPHS School visited the fair, gaining insights into language learning in an interactive environment. With around 500 attendees, the fair served as a platform for students to develop confidence and collaboration skills.

Awards and Recognition

The fair concluded with a valedictory session, where Dr. Padmaja, Principal, VJIT, and Dr. Laxminarayana, HoD (H&S), presented awards and certificates of participation. The winners were:

  • Best Presentation: CSE DS-BCollective Nouns
  • Best Demonstration: IT-ALanguage Karaoke
  • Best Exhibit: ECE-CCollocations

Conclusion

Lingua Blaze 2025 provided students with an engaging and enriching experience, fostering a deeper appreciation for language learning. The event strengthened student-faculty collaboration and encouraged innovative approaches to communication skills.

VJIT is just a average clg. Its neither bad nor good thats how i felt when i studied, factuality is good, supportive bit management isn't.
