Biography

Dr. N. Anusha is a distinguished academician and researcher with over 17 years of professional experience, including 14+ years in teaching and 3 years in industry. She currently serves as the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) at VJIT, Hyderabad. She is a recognized research guide at Anurag University and currently supervises two Ph.D. scholars — one from Anurag University, Hyderabad, and another from Annamalai University, Chennai. Her academic leadership includes organizing national and international programs such as the AICTE-sponsored ATAL FDP on Artificial Intelligence for Geospatial Data Analysis (Nov 2024) and serving as Convener of ICCIDE2023 International Conference. Dr. Anusha is also the IIRS Coordinator, JNTUH-J-HUB Coordinator, and mentor for prestigious innovation contests including Smart India Hackathon (SIH2023) and Kavach2023. She leads multiple student innovation clubs at VJIT, including the Computer Vision Club, Cyber Security Club, Blockchain Technology Club, the VRITTI-Entrepreneurship Club and Get Work Done(GWD) Club, promoting hands-on, interdisciplinary learning.

ResearchInterests

She has led multiple funded projects in collaboration with premier research agencies such as ISRO, NRSC, and IIRS, including work on deep learning-based urban object detection and flood analysis using satellite data.
