Biography

Dr. KSRK Sarma is an accomplished academician and researcher with over 20 years of experience in both teaching and research. He obtained his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from SKP Engineering College, Tiruvannamalai, affiliated with Madras University. He earned his M.Tech in CSE from St. Mary’s College of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad and was awarded his Ph.D. in CSE from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTUA) in 2022. Throughout his career, Dr. Sarma has made significant contributions to academia through leadership roles, research initiatives and event coordination.

ResearchInterests

Dr. Sarma’s research interests include computer vision, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Agricultural Informatics and Artificial Neural Networks. He is currently leading a DST-funded project titled “Developing 4 villages to enhance their Agricultural Sustainability through IoT for Social and Economic Empowerment of Scheduled Caste Communities” with a grant of ₹1.18 crore, awarded in March 2023. His research aims to integrate technological innovation with rural development for sustainable impact. His work focuses on bridging the gap between advanced technology and societal empowerment.

TeachingInterests

Dr. Sarma is passionate about teaching core and advanced topics in Computer Science, including Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Machine Learning, IoT and Neural Networks. He believes in a hands-on, problem-solving approach to learning and encourages student involvement in real-world projects, innovation challenges and hackathons.

He promotes experiential learning through projects and technical clubs, fostering innovation and critical thinking among students.

Publications

Dr. KSRK has published over 25 research articles in reputed national and international journals and conferences. He has guided more than 10 M.Tech students in their research work. His scholarly contributions also include four published patents and one granted patent in the field of Artificial Neural Networks.

Received a research grant of ₹1,18,61,430 from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, in 2023.
Dr. KSRK received Jyestha Acharya Award from Bharat Education Excellence Awards.
Reviewer for Asian Journal of Research in Computer Science.
Recognized for organizing multiple national and international conferences.
Served as coordinator for various technical events, clubs and innovation hackathons.
