TASK LOCATION: Mahima Ministries, Kothagadi, Vikarabad District
EVENT SUMMARY:
On our visit to an old age home near Vikarabad, we discovered that it lacked proper washroom facility. The occupants of the old
age home were compelled to carry water in buckets due to the complete absence of water connection. The washrooms could not be accessed at night times as there was no electrical connection to them. Along with this, we found few of the doors to be rusted and broken.
As part of The Sanitation Project, we provided a western commode and built a whole new washroom for it. We also contributed proper water connections for all the washrooms, along with electrical connections inside and outside all the 6 washrooms. All the doors of the washrooms have been repaired and repainted.
From now on, the occupants of the old age home have a new washroom at the vicinity of their beds and can comfortably access all 6 of them, even at night.
