Civil Engineering department of VJIT Inaugurates 1st centre of excellence in Telangana on “Sustainable construction practices and materials”Hyderabad, 06 March, 2024: Civil engineering department of Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology inaugurated a first of its kind centre of excellence for “Sustainable construction practices and materials” in association with Ultratech Cement Ltd which is oriented to train civil engineering students, Practicing engineers and para civil engineering fraternity towards the sustainable good construction practices using green and innovative construction material. On this occasion dignitaries including Shri. Avijit Chakravarty, Regional Head, Sales & Marketing Ultratech Cement Ltd, Er. PP John, Technical Zonal Head (South) Ultratech Cement ltd, Principal Prof. Dr. E. Saibaba Reddy, VJIT, Dr. Ramachandra V, Technical Advisor, Ultratech , Mr. Anurag Palla, Director of Strategy and Digital Learning & Trustee, Anurag University, Er. N. Srinivasa Rao, Regional Head Technical Services Ultratech Cement ltd, Dr A Padmaja Dean accreditation VJIT, Mrs G. Srilatha Academic Coordinator VJIT, Mr. Venkata chalam Sr. AO VJIT, All heads of the various departments. Dr Pallavi Badry, Head civil Engineering department assured to float several training and employability activities through this centre. Also several calendar activities and faculty development programs will be executed through this centre of excellence.
The College also signed a MoU with Ultratech Cement Ltd and this collaboration is aimed collectively to give several training programs to the faculty and students on innovative construction materials and industry based projects
