OSA student chapter of VJIT has organized a One Day Optics Outreach programme at a local school in Aziznagar Village, Hyderabad on 30.9.2013. The programme is aimed to create awareness in the field of Optics and Light. The student members explained the various phenomena of light such as reflection, refraction, dispersion, total internal reflection and diffraction through the models. The propagation of light through different medium, multiple reflections, image formation of concave and convex lenses and mirrors, laws of reflection were beautifully explained by the models prepared by the OSA student members. At the end of the programme quiz programme was conducted to get the feedback. The school children who have answered the questions were given prizes. The programme was a successful one. The school headmaster, teachers, parents and the school children felt very happy for participating in such a useful programme in their campus.
