Engineer’s Day-2019, Celebrations at VJIT organized by Civil Engineering Department

In remembrance of Sir Mokshagundam Vishweshwarayya, the most outstanding Engineer of all times, the Civil engineering Department of VJIT celebrated “Engineers Day “on 14th September 2019. It was on this day 153 years ago that this great contributor of growth and engineering in India was born. All the faculty members and more than 150 students have participated in various events organized by the Civil Department. The 15th of September all the Engineers who operate as an interface between Science and Society to bring an integrity in social and economic prosperity are honored. To identify the great works done by our hard-working engineers every year, 15th September is celebrated as “Engineer’s Day” commemorating Sir Mokshagundam Vishweshwarayya, and recognizing his contributions in the field of hydropower energy in India.
The highlights of the event started with the keynote address by ER. P. Srinivas Reddy, AD of Prime Law Associates, located at Hyderabad, India. The event continued with the Technical Presentation on ‘Next Generation Concrete’ by Er. N. Srinivas Rao Regional Head (Technical services) Ultra Tech Cement Limited Telangana
