One Day Workshop on Starting up for a Cause

A One Day Workshop on ‘Starting up for a cause’ was conducted on 3rd February, 2020, organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), for the final year engineering students under ‘Transforming India Initiative’ by Access Livelihoods Consulting (ALC) India Ltd, Hyderabad. Mr. Kishore Vodapally, Head of BD & Marketing, ALC India Ltd., and Ms. Sneha Kulukuru, Technical Consultant, ALC India Ltd., two young, capable and budding entrepreneurs, were invited to inspire the students by sharing their experiences to become potential entrepreneurs. The Duo shared their views on the importance of the Transforming India Initiative and developing social entrepreneurial thoughts.  Further, to their excellent, knowledgeable and inspiring speeches on Economic Inequity, Gender disparity, Environmental challenge, Employment challenge and growing slums in India, they have also conducted Social Business Plan Competition for the students. The different titles for the competition were, Low Primary Producer Incomes in India Today, Skill gap in Employment in India Today, Solid Waste Management in India Today and Menstrual Hygiene in India Today. The session was presided by Dr. A. Padmaja, Principal, VJIT and coordinated by Dr. M. Vadivel, EDC coordinator and Department EDC coordinators.
