National Conference on Advances in Frontiers of Civil Engineering

A two-day National Conference on “Advances In Frontiers of Civil Engineering” (NCAFCE 2018) was held at the Department of Civil Engineering, VJIT, Hyderabad 21st & 22nd, December, 2018. The conference was inaugurated by Prof. Venugopal Reddy, Director, Prof. A. Padmaja, Principal, Dr.Pallavi Badry, HOD, CE, were attending the dignitaries and Prof. M. R. Madhav Emeritus, JNTU, Hyderabad & Visiting Professor, IIT-H, was Chief Guest for the inaugural session. Prof Madhav addressed the imparting innovations and research in the Civil Engineering domain. The conference inaugural was followed by Keynotes along with Technical Sessions. The Keynote address was given by Prof. Madhav on ‘Geotechnical Practices: challenging examples’. Prof Sirish Saride  (Professor IITH, CE) delegated on ‘Modeling on Vacuum’ Consolidation of clay’ the keynote parallel sessions were held on Structural and Geotechnical Engineering practices. Followed by Prof. Senthil Vadivel (Prof VJIT) on “Construction practices on concrete technology” and Mr. Ravishankar, Technical Lead, ARUP India Pvt Ltd addressed on “Modified viscous boundary and its efficiency in soil structure interaction problems” each of the keynote are followed by technical sessions.The valedictory was hosted by Mr. Moray, Technical Head of the Maha cement Industries and one of the sponsors for the conference.
