The Department of Management Studies organized a one-day workshop on “Corporate Expectations from Management Graduates” on 23rd November 2024. The session was conducted by the esteemed resource person Mr. Rajesh Pershad, an Educator and Human Potential Trainer.

Morning Session Highlights

Mr. Rajesh Pershad delivered a highly engaging session focusing on career development for management students. He emphasized the importance of early preparation for career success and shared insights on how students can strategically plan their professional journeys to enjoy long-term fulfillment.

One of the key highlights of the morning session was the “A to Z Activity,” where the speaker associated each alphabet with a renowned and successful businessperson. Through this creative exercise, students learned about the struggles, challenges, and milestones that shaped the careers of these individuals, inspiring them to emulate similar dedication and resilience.

Afternoon Activities

After a brief lunch break, interactive activities were conducted to foster creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial thinking:

  1. Activity 1: Building Your Employee for Battle (1:30 PM)
    • Teams were provided with resources such as newspapers, tape, and glue to build a “warrior employee.”
    • The objective was to design a symbolic employee who could protect the business like a warrior.
    • This activity emphasized teamwork, resourcefulness, and the importance of creating a strong and reliable workforce.
  2. Activity 2: Creating Marketable Products (3:00 PM)
    • The same resources were used for another creative challenge. Teams were tasked with designing products that could be sold in the market.
    • Students brainstormed innovative ideas and crafted useful items, showcasing their problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills.

Conclusion

The workshop concluded at 3:45 PM with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Srujana, Assistant Professor, Department of Management.

This workshop provided students with a comprehensive understanding of corporate expectations and equipped them with practical skills and creative thinking tools. It was a highly interactive and inspiring event that left the participants motivated and better prepared for their future roles in the corporate world.
