Organized by the Women Empowerment Cell, VJIT
Date: June 21, 2017
Venue: VJIT Campus
Understanding the crucial role of mental and physical well-being in the lives of women, especially those who juggle multiple responsibilities every day, the Women Empowerment Cell of VJIT organized a special Women Well-Being Program on June 21, 2017, dedicated to the faculty members of the institute.
The program aimed to encourage VJIT’s women faculty to prioritize their health, manage stress, and enhance their overall well-being through the powerful practices of meditation and yoga. Recognizing that women are often natural multitaskers, the session was designed to help them maintain balance and inner peace while also strengthening their immune system and mental resilience.
The activities focused on:
- Guided Meditation – to calm the mind, relieve anxiety, and foster mindfulness
- Yoga Practice – to boost flexibility, strength, and overall health
- Relaxation Techniques – for better emotional regulation and stress management
The program not only offered a refreshing break from the daily routine but also served as a reminder of the importance of self-care. Participants expressed gratitude for the initiative and shared positive feedback on how the session left them feeling rejuvenated, focused, and motivated.
With initiatives like this, the Women Empowerment Cell continues to support the holistic development of women faculty, reinforcing that their well-being is the foundation of a healthy, progressive academic environment.
