The NCC Unit of Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT) successfully conducted a Tree Plantation Drive at Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS), Thallapally, on 27th November 2025 as part of its ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
The drive aimed to create awareness among students and the local community about the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance, improving air quality, and combating climate change. NCC cadets actively participated with great enthusiasm and discipline, planting a variety of saplings within the school premises.
During the program, cadets educated school students on the role of trees in conserving biodiversity and encouraged them to take responsibility for nurturing the planted saplings. The initiative emphasized the NCC motto “Unity and Discipline”, reflecting the cadets’ dedication to nation-building through environmental conservation.
The event concluded with a pledge by the participants to protect and preserve the environment. The plantation drive not only enhanced the greenery of the school campus but also strengthened the bond between the NCC unit and the local community, marking the program as a meaningful and impactful endeavor.
