Event Overview:
On 27th March 2025, the Dalal Street Club of the Department of Management Studies organized an insightful and engaging activity titled “Reel to Real.” The event was designed to encourage students to think critically by connecting scenes from films and advertisements to real-world business challenges, ethical dilemmas, and management practices.
The primary goal of the activity was to enhance students’ understanding of core MBA concepts such as leadership, marketing, communication, and business ethics, through creative and analytical exploration of reel-life portrayals.
Student Engagement:
A total of 86 students from both Section A and B actively participated in the event. Students were grouped and tasked with selecting scenes from movies, documentaries, or commercials, and then analyzing their relevance to contemporary business scenarios.
The activity not only promoted critical thinking, but also helped in honing students’ communication, presentation, and storytelling skills—all essential for effective business leadership.
Feedback & Outcome:
The event concluded with an open feedback session, where students enthusiastically shared their insights and takeaways. Many expressed how the session offered a fresh, creative perspective on traditional classroom topics, and appreciated the interactive format that combined learning with entertainment.
