EVENT SUMMARY:
Access to clean washrooms is crucial for girls’ health and dignity. Inadequate facilities can lead to health issues and missed school days. At Safdariya Girls
High School, only 5 out of 10 washrooms were in good condition for over 470 students. To address this, Street Cause VJIT students renovated five washrooms, improving hygiene and safety. The project included proper flooring, roofing, and doors. The initiative was completed, marking a substantial improvement in the school’s restroom facilities. This ensures girls have a conducive environment for education, promoting their well-being and confidence. The success was celebrated at an inaugural event on October 30, 2023.
