The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), an apex professional society was formed in 1953, for promoting the advancement of Telecommunications, Electronics and Information Technology(IT) and to facilitate exchange of information and ideas which have revolutionized the Indian economy by various means. The IETE facilitates interaction amongst the Academicians, Scientists and Professionals engaged in various Industries, Educational Institutions, R&D Laboratories and Government Departments. Further, it endeavors to respond to the needs of revolutions changing and emerging state of the art technologies and capabilities of the Professionals with vision to promote the capabilities related with Electronics and Telecommunication segment. Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recognized AMIETE, ALCCS (Advanced Level Course in Computer Science). The IETE conducts and sponsors technical meetings, conferences, symposium, and exhibitions all over India, publishes technical and research journals and provides continuing education as well as career advancement opportunities to its members.
