Event Overview:
The Department of Management Studies, under the aegis of Synergy – The HR Club, organized a hands-on learning session titled “Job Analysis – The Role of HR” on 3rd April 2025. The objective of the event was to introduce students to the fundamental concept of job analysis and its practical implementation within organizations.
The session, coordinated by Ms. K. Kavitha, began with an introduction to the importance of job analysis in human resource planning, recruitment, and performance management. Students learned how HR professionals assess and document job roles, responsibilities, and required qualifications.
Student Engagement:
A total of 64 students actively participated in the event. They were guided through various job analysis practices including:
- Identifying key responsibilities of different roles
- Mapping skills and qualifications required
- Understanding the alignment between job analysis and job notifications
The students were also given exercises to prepare job notifications based on analyzed data, enhancing their practical understanding of how job descriptions are structured and communicated in professional HR settings.
Outcome:
The session provided valuable insights into a critical HR function, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practice. Students gained practical exposure to job analysis techniques and understood how these translate into effective recruitment documentation.
