As part of the academic curriculum and to provide students with practical exposure to the generation of electrical power, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) organized an industrial visit to the Nagarjunasagar Hydroelectric Power Plant, located at Nagarjunasagar, Telangana, on 2nd August 2025.

The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of hydroelectric power generation, operational procedures, and the role of such plants in sustainable energy production. During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe the plant’s working mechanisms, learn about turbine operations, and interact with technical experts, thereby bridging the gap between theoretical learning and real-world application.

Participants:

  • IV Year I Semester EEE Students

Faculty Coordinators:

  • Mr. M. Vijay Kumar, Assistant Professor
  • Mrs. K. Haritha, Assistant Professor
  • Mr. P. Naga Muneendra, Assistant Professor

The department extends its gratitude to the management of the Nagarjunasagar Hydroelectric Power Plant for their support and hospitality, and to the faculty coordinators for guiding the students throughout the visit. The experience proved to be highly informative and enriching, inspiring students to explore further advancements in the field of electrical power generation.
