Overview
Computer Vision is one of the important domains in computer science that works on enabling computers to see, identify and process images in the same way that human vision does and then provide appropriate output.The purpose of computer vision club is to help students to excel beyond the classroom. The aim of this club is providing support to students to explore their ideas, to develop new skills related to the field of computer vision. This club also helps in building confidence in students with the help of various programs. The main vision of the club is to expose the students to the latest advancements in computer vision and give individuals an opportunity for sharing and extending ideas, views and knowledge in the computer vision.The club provides a strong platform for the engineering students to practically implement their innovative ideas in computer vision for different applications. The Club offers indispensible guidance, workshops and organizes various events for students to explore their full potential.
Goals
- To provide students a platform where they gain knowledge about the basic methods of computer vision related to edge detection and detection of other primitives, stereo, motion and object recognition.
- To provide students a platform where they can share their knowledge on current trends in computer vision.
- To encourage the students to extract information from real-world content and use it to solve real-world problems, for instance, image reconstruction, anomaly detection, and autonomous driving.
- To make students aware of the evolving technologies by organizing Hackathons, Seminars, Workshops, Guest Lectures and Industrial visits.
- To help students in enhancing their presentation and organizational skills.
- To keep pace with the competitive world by conducting various activities like: Informatique Exhib, Quiz, Blind coding, Pop the Question,Just-a-Minute (JAM), Treasure Hunt, Meme Creation.
- Visit to Govt. Schools to educate about Computer Vision
