Dr Pallavi has worked in a area like Earthquake Engineering, Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI), Innovative construction material and passionate about understanding how dynamic soil behavior influences structural response during seismic events and developing methods to improve the resilience and safety of built infrastructure. Her work seeks to bridge the gap between geotechnical and structural engineering through advanced numerical modeling, experimental testing, and performance-based seismic design. She guiding 3 research scholars in with topics such as nonlinear SSI effects, foundation performance under strong ground motions, soil liquefaction mitigation, and the development of computational tools for integrated soil-structure systems analysis. From her research contributions she published 10 Journal papers (SCI and Scopus indexed), 50 conference papers 7 book chapters with 1 international and 1 national patent. She published her research in several countries like Japan, Turkey, France & Egypt. She is the recipient of Prestigious International travel grant in year 2014 and 2018 by DST-SERB.

She worked on research project including Study and soil structure interaction analysis of tall asymmetrical structures funded by AICTE during 2012-13 (Completed) & Development of pedagogical methodology for Soil Mechanics course funded by “ICT” during her PhD.She also worked on several consultancy projects for modeling and analysis of slope failure and other Geotechnical problems and generated a 18L grants through consultancy work.She is also executing the role of reviewer (Several reputed Scopus national and intonations conferences & Journals including ICTIEE20, FACE 2019, GEOMATE, JEET, Geopractices 2024 ). She is also a Co-Editor for International Journal of Engineering and Technology, Vol no 35 sp.
