She completed Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur (VNIT) and Ph. D in Civil Engieering (Earthquake Engineering) from IIIT Hyderabad. She has more than 17 years of experience in teaching, research and industry. Her expertise in research benchmarked with around 55+ technical papers in indexed journals and in National and International peer-reviewed conferences. She guided 60+ BTech students and 15 Mtech students and guiding 3 PhD student. She has 7 book chapters, 1 book and 1 International patent on her credits. She published her research in several countries like Japan, Turkey, France & Egypt. She is the recipient of Prestigious International travel grant in year 2014 and 2018 by DST-SERB. She served as a Resource Person for several Faculty Development programs, workshops, internships within the state and other states. She delivered invited lectures in several short courses conducted at IIITH, training for trainee engineers from Govt. of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, CRHRDI on safety and Geotechnical aspects of the design of superstructures. She is a life member of IGS and mentor for ICI student chapter at Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology. Under her guidance Civil Engg Department students received Best students chapter award in a year 2019 and 2020 by ICI. She is awarded as ICI Young Engineer award for the state of Telangana for a year 2020 in ICI Concrete Excellency awards series. She is a very active and efficient faculty who introduced several employability and bridge courses in B. Tech and M. Tech curriculum.

ResearchInterests

Dr Pallavi has worked in a area like Earthquake Engineering, Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI), Innovative construction material and passionate about understanding how dynamic soil behavior influences structural response during seismic events and developing methods to improve the resilience and safety of built infrastructure. Her work seeks to bridge the gap between geotechnical and structural engineering through advanced numerical modeling, experimental testing, and performance-based seismic design. She guiding 3 research scholars in with topics such as nonlinear SSI effects, foundation performance under strong ground motions, soil liquefaction mitigation, and the development of computational tools for integrated soil-structure systems analysis. From her research contributions she published 10 Journal papers (SCI and Scopus indexed), 50 conference papers 7 book chapters with 1 international and 1 national patent. She published her research in several countries like Japan, Turkey, France & Egypt. She is the recipient of Prestigious International travel grant in year 2014 and 2018 by DST-SERB.

She worked on research project including Study and soil structure interaction analysis of tall asymmetrical structures funded by AICTE during 2012-13 (Completed) & Development of pedagogical methodology for Soil Mechanics course funded by “ICT” during her PhD.She also worked on several consultancy projects for modeling and analysis of slope failure and other Geotechnical problems and generated a 18L grants through consultancy work.She is also executing the role of reviewer (Several reputed Scopus national and intonations conferences & Journals including ICTIEE20, FACE 2019, GEOMATE, JEET, Geopractices 2024 ). She is also a Co-Editor for International Journal of Engineering and Technology, Vol no 35 sp. Issue as a conference proceeding and Editor for international Conference on Advancements in construction materials (ICACM 2023), AIP conference proceeding (Scopus)

TeachingInterests

Dr Pallavi is committed to teaching courses that build a strong foundation in structural and geotechnical engineering, with a particular emphasis on earthquake engineering and soil-structure interaction where she introduced integrated approach of theoretical concepts with practical applications, using case studies, simulations, and laboratory experiments to help students understand the complex and critical concepts of the courses which she handled both for PG and UG. She is also passionate about fostering interdisciplinary thinking and encouraging students to approach engineering problems from both geotechnical and structural perspectives. She taught wide range of courses including Soil Dynamics, Engineering Systems, Soil mechanics/Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering , Foundation Engineering, Soil structure Interactions, Dynamics of soils & Foundations, Green building Technologies, soil structure interactions, smart cities, etc
